Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your driving expertise in a dynamic environment, being able to drive a trailer to transport cars & vans from a-b. Applicants must possess a valid driver's licence and relevant driving experience, preferably with commercial or delivery driving backgrounds Including vehicle recovery. A strong understanding of vehicle Recovery & transportation, driving a trailer attached to a 4x4 jeep. Mechanical knowledge will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate various types of vehicles, including trailers attached to a 4x4 jeep.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed on time whilst adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cars & vans ensuring vehivkes are secured properly for transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen issues.
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times during transportation activities.
  • Support warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management or organising goods for dispatch.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; appropriate category for commercial driving preferred.
  • Proven experience as a recovery driver or commercial driver, driving a trailer ideally with experience.
  • Mechanical knowledge of vehicles, particularly flatbed lorries, is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
  • Experience with driving large vehicles such as flatbeds or similar commercial vehicles is advantageous.
  • Ability to organise routes efficiently and adapt to changing schedules or priorities.
  • Physical fitness to load/unload cargo and perform routine vehicle inspections safely. This position offers an engaging role for individuals passionate about driving and logistics, providing opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team environment.
