Our operation is currently operating on the SALSA food safety standard, with transparent end-to-end manufacturing systems.
About the Role:
We are looking for. a passionate, experienced pastry chef who has a love for Viennoisserie. You. must have previous experience with Viennoisserie. As a texture-focused bakery, R&D drives everything we do. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our products.
As senior pastry chef your duties will be to carry out and oversee all aspects of production.
Requirements:
-Must have previous Viennoisserie experience (lamination)
-Minimum 3 year experience working in bakery
-Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or above
-Knowledge of SALSA (preferred)
-Knowledge of gluten-free and vegan baking
Duties:
As our Master of Baking and Mixes your role will be focused around proofing, filling, egg washing, baking, sorting, packing, and dispatching our goods every day.
Knowledge of scratch baking, and the ability to produce consistently and timely are key aspects of this role. Most of the control metrics are qualititative which means you must have a high attention to detail.
Specifics:
-Knows how to laminate pastry, know how to use lamination machine.
Ability to follow recipes
-Ability to handle heavy equipment
-Ability to scale, laminate, proof, egg wash, sort, and pack
-Abilit to work effectively in teams and handle high pressure environments
Hours: 7am-530pm
Days: 5 Days including Saturday and Sunday
ROTA: Min 40 Hours per week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
