The role of the Operations Manager will entail in assisting with the scheduling of HGV Tankering and Jetting units covering both reactive and planned works. This role suits someone looking for a combination of office related administrative tasks, planning ahead and being able to problem solve reactively.

Job Description

  • Optimising, preparing and scheduling the preventive, planned and remedial maintenance.
  • You will schedule work orders in accordance with SLA's, whilst optimising travel routes and increasing productivity.
  • Ensuring the vehicle maintenance scheduler is kept up to date for vehicles to be booked into the garage to ensure conformity
  • 1 weekly site visit to ensure safety is being upheld on sites
  • Completing the engineers on call rota
  • Working closely with the engineers to identify and rectify issues whilst improving the effectiveness of the operations department.
  • Maintaining high standards within Health, Safety & Environment, Housekeeping, Performance, Waste, Communication and Continuous Improvement.
  • Effectively supporting the operations team to meet output requirements in quality expectations, cost management and the delivery of key objectives and operational performance targets.
  • Managing and coordinating the promoted workload according to defined priorities, estimating resource and duration requirements in line with agreed metrics.
  • Participate and supporting scheduled meetings.

Applicants Should Possess

  • Experience of working within a fast paced environment would be advantageous
  • Akeen willingness for progression
  • Ability to make decisions in a time pressured environment.
  • Competent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills
