Administrative Assistant – Infrastructure - Cheltenham
Location – Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (M5 J10)
Purpose of the role:
Galliford Try have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Administrative Assistant based in Cheltenham to support the team on our new £250m M5 J10 Improvements Scheme .
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major infrastructure project that will make a real difference to the region. You'll play a key role in keeping the project running smoothly, handling a variety of administrative tasks and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities –
You will:
- Provide administrative support including typing, preparing meeting minutes, letters, reports, and handling printing, copying, and post distribution
- Manage meeting room bookings and coordinate refreshments; provide reception cover when required
- Support new starter onboarding by issuing security passes, updating registers, and ordering business cards
- Monitor and maintain stationery supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate
- Assist with invoice checking and authorisation, resolving any related queries
- Maintain electronic records and archives, support training data input for CITB claims
About You –
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Organised and able to prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Holds GCSE/National 5 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
