Finance Analyst

Based: East Cheshire area

Salary: circa £60k + bonus (25%) + private medical + excellent benefits

A newly created Financial Analyst opportunity within a growing, forward-thinking construction business. This is a role with real influence — supporting the Directors on live projects, shaping commercial decision-making, and building out the financial modelling capability across the business.

You'll be working in a collaborative, hands-on team environment that values curiosity, challenge, and continuous development. If you've had any exposure to property appraisal and cashflow modelling, the business will gladly upskill you further. What matters most is confidence, communication, and the ability to partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders.

Role:

  • Partner closely with Development Directors on project appraisals, commercial analysis and scenario modelling
  • Build, review and enhance financial models to support new site acquisitions, development plans and funding decisions
  • Produce detailed cashflow forecasts throughout the lifecycle of property schemes
  • Analyse feasibility, sensitivity and valuation metrics for development projects
  • Provide insight and challenge — influencing investment decisions with clear narrative behind the numbers
  • Support transaction processes including due diligence, deal structuring and investment papers
  • Work with external advisors and professional services firms where required
  • Continually improve modelling templates, data quality and financial controls across the development pipeline
  • Supporting finance team with a number of projects to increase department efficiencies

Experience:

  • Experience within property development, construction or a professional services environment (real estate / transaction services / advisory) - essential
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and articulate insight to senior stakeholders
  • Confidence working with operational and commercial teams — ability to challenge and influence
  • Exposure to financial modelling and property appraisals - essential
  • A collaborative mindset — keen to learn, share knowledge and help shape capability in a growing team
