CONSULTANT IN PLASTIC SURGERY- HAND SURGERY

Applications are invited for the above post based at Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, Dundee . The opportunity has arisen due to a vacancy.

This is a full-time post (10 PAs per week) – based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, but with sessions across the regional territory. The post will have a major interest in hand surgery, both emergency and elective. A small amount of general plastic surgery including skin cancer surgery is also anticipated.

The on-call commitment is currently on a 1:9 basis.

The successful candidate will join a team of nine Consultant Plastic Surgeons and 7 registrars. Although this post is for hand surgery specialist interest the role will offer opportunities across a broad spectrum of plastic and reconstructive. As subspecialist interest in laser surgery would also be beneficial to this post to support the wider team capacity

Candidates must be GMC registered and have MRCS (or equivalent). They must also be on the GMC Specialist registration or within 6months of CCT at time of interview.
