Our Legal Division is home to dynamic teams within Law & Policy and Law & International, providing strategic legal and policy advice on enforcement matters, both domestically and internationally.

Within Law & Policy, we ensure the FCA has the necessary powers and frameworks to respond effectively to misconduct, taking an innovative approach to financial services and enforcement policy.

Meanwhile, Law & International leads the FCA's global enforcement strategy, managing key international relationships and collaborating with regulators through organisations like IOSCO's Committee on Enforcement and the Exchange of Information.

What will you be doing?

  • Handle incoming requests for assistance from international regulators with minimal oversight. Advise on strategy, use of statutory powers and related legal issues
  • Manage communications with firms, individuals under investigation, their legal representatives and overseas regulators
  • Maintain and build relationships with strategically important international authorities to support Enforcement objectives
  • Provide specialist legal advice to investigation teams on complex matters involving international and domestic cooperation
  • Own and update L&I know-how and guidance documents. Deliver legal training and mentor junior associates
  • Lead high-profile projects aligned with Enforcement's international strategy, including international symposiums and IOSCO participation
