Ledger Specialist

You'll want more than just another transactional finance role.

Because you've already mastered bank recs, intercompany balances, and journals - now you're looking for a role with global scope, real ownership, and a team that values what you bring.

This ledger specialist job gives you just that. £35,000 salary, flexible hybrid working (with a Halifax base), a strong chance to go perm after 3 months, and exposure to a central accounting function operating across multiple countries and entities.

You'll be joining a global software group with operations in the UK, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, India, and the US - managing multi-currency ledgers, complex intercompany recharges, and monthly reporting cycles. It's a large group structure with high standards and the right tech - including NetSuite and BlackLine (experience with either is a bonus).

You'll share the workload with another ledger specialist, so you won't be drowning in tasks - but you will have ownership. You'll take charge of accruals, prepayments, VAT analysis, bank and intercompany reconciliations, and monthly close processes across three business units and dozens of bank accounts.

This isn't just a "cover some journals" temp gig. They're after someone who's genuinely interested in financial control and ledger work, with ambitions to grow - not just pass the time until year-end.

You'll need solid Excel skills, a strong grounding in bookkeeping, and experience working in or alongside a larger group structure. If you've worked as an assistant management accountant or accounts assistant with exposure to month-end, you'll hit the ground running.
