Our clients include the world's biggest consultancies, leading financial institutions and top law firms.

Jigsaw was founded by two seasoned entrepreneurs, Stephen and Travis. This is their second venture together; their first was acquired by a US private equity firm and went on to become a billion-dollar company and a household name in professional service firms across the world. Jigsaw is now on a growth trajectory few Series A companies achieve - putting us in the top quartile SaaS companies globally. Today we proudly serve thousands of users from nearly two hundred businesses worldwide, who love our products and use them everyday.

The role
As the Head of Engineering, you will be at the helm of our engineering department, steering the development and execution of our technology vision and strategy. You'll be designing and developing that teams that can bring that technology vision to life, so ideally you'll be motivated by solving people puzzles as much as technical challenges. The team are a mix of fully remote and hybrid, so you'll build a team operating system that allows everyone to contribute and connect. This leadership role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative software solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible in the professional services industry. You'll get to...

• Play a pivotal role in crafting and leading the execution of our technology strategy, based off our technical roadmap. Your leadership will inspire the engineering team to develop innovative software solutions.
• As a mentor and leader, you will cultivate a high-performing but inclusive engineering team, promoting a culture of hard work, high energy and fun where individuals can achieve their potential. You'll inspire the managers that report to you to foster similar cultures within their own teams.
• Refine our engineering workflows and methodologies, enhancing both productivity and the quality of our products.
• In collaboration with our product and QA teams, you'll ensure our product development and delivery are perfectly aligned, fostering teamwork across the board.
• Take time to conduct comprehensive appraisals and performance development reviews, to ensure the continuous improvement and development of team members.
• Identify capacity and capability gaps within the team and implement targeted development plans.
• Actively focus on keeping our talent density by strategically recruiting and retaining wonderful people.

You'll thrive in this role if...

• You have proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role, preferably as a Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering, or similar, within a product-led technology organisation for teams of 30+ developers. It would be even better if this was in a B2B or SaaS context.
• You have a strong technical background in software development, with expertise in technologies relevant to Jigsaw's stack (e.g., C#, ASP.NET Core, TypeScript, Vue).
• We're experimenting meaningfully in applications of AI for making our user experiences even more efficient, so an interest in that area wouldn't go amiss.
• You can lead, motivate and develop a diverse engineering team, including the development of other engineering managers, and creating a high-performance culture where neurodiverse individuals can thrive.
• You have excellent strategic thinking, with the ability to translate business goals into technological strategies and design effective team structures to support delivery of these objectives.
• You enjoy hiring, interviewing and onboarding, and have a fantastic radar for spotting potential.
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering a highly collaborative environment between the teams.
