We are pleased to share with you an exciting opportunity for an Education Fellow in Clinical Skills within KMMS, a role that will contribute to the development and delivery of our undergraduate BM BS programme in a variety of settings, including group tutorials, team-based learning, large group lectures and clinical skills teaching. Education Fellows also actively contribute to multiple mini interviews (MMIs) and clinical assessments (OSCEs)input into course development, programme evaluation and curriculum changes.

As Education Fellow in Clinical and professional skills you can expect to be involved in:

  • Participating in the delivery of small and medium size group (workshops and seminars) and full cohort (lectures) including preparation, coordination and administration of teaching sessions.
  • Delivering workshop and practical based teaching relating to clinical and professional skills including physical examination, communication and procedural skills.
  • Supervising teaching sessions involving clinical simulation which includes modalities such as peer-to-peer examination, simulated manikins, procedural task trainers and simulated patients (actors).
  • Enabling students to develop skills and competencies required for future clinical practice, including meeting the GMC's Outcomes for Graduates

What will you bring to the role?

  • A Medical/Healthcare degree
  • Demonstration of recent clinical experience within the NHS
  • A demonstrable interest in teaching and learning in undergraduate or postgraduate medical education or a closely related discipline (health-based courses)
  • Advanced knowledge of the relevant subject area to effectively deliver teaching within the clinical skills theme of the BM BS programme
