Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Officer to support the planning, coordination, and delivering small to mid-sized IT projects end-to-end. The ideal candidate will bring at least 4 years of experience in project analysis, project coordination, or project management within complex, fast-paced environments. You'll manage scope, timelines, vendors, risks, and stakeholders, ensuring delivery meets business outcomes, budget, and quality standards.
You will work closely with internal teams, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, to quality standards, and within budget. This is a proactive role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to challenge assumptions and drive process improvement.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Define scope, objectives, deliverables, estimates, map, and design business processes and solutions.
- Own schedules, sprint plans, and milestones; track progress, remove blockers, and drive on-time delivery.
- Support the design, development, and management of activities related to specific products or product groups, from definition through to release and end-of-life.
- Document and review project and team documentation to maintain accuracy and clarity.
- Engage with business stakeholders to analyze, define, and document business processes across functional areas.
- Run stand-ups, demos, and meetings; keep sponsors and SMEs informed with clear status reports.
- Coordinate BA/tech teams to refine requirements, acceptance criteria, and UAT; manage release and transition to support.
- Track burn vs. budget; manage SOWs/POs/invoices; coordinate with third-party vendors.
- Collaborate with functional leadership teams to plan and deliver SME training activities.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues, and maintain clear reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain open, proactive communication across teams and business areas.
- Perform various administrative and coordinating tasks as required to support project delivery.
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in project analysis, coordination, or management.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, project management.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments is advantageous.
- Comfortable with everyday tools: MS Office/Google Workspace, SharePoint/Drive, basic trackers, and simple dashboards.
- Comfortable reading technical concepts (APIs, cloud basics, CI/CD, environments) and collaborating with engineers.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, delivering multi-work stream projects on time, to budget, and quality standards.
- Exposure to business change: training plans, comms, and user adoption.
- Self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic, with a drive to learn quickly and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong communication, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
