Here at Saga, our central technology team are recruiting for an Application Developer. We have an exciting roadmap of projects over the next year and you'll join an established expert team, working on across all of our business areas.
Working as a C# .Net Application Developer, you will be focussed on Saga's 'Customer Hub'. The Customer Hub team sits in the Technology function and collaborates with stakeholders from across the organisation and trusted third parties, receiving all customer transactions for processing, ensuring data quality and customer matching across product lines / business groups, then republishes through products such as Adobe Campaign for use in an array of marketing campaigns.
You'll be collaborating closely with other Application Developers and Lead Developers and across the wider IT community, plus engaging with business stakeholders. In this role you will get the chance to deliver, maintain and enhance applications within the Customer Hub function.
This team is fast moving, iterative and highly agile. A great chance for you to develop your skills on multiple platforms, programming languages and interesting projects, we will also support you to enhance your skills in this role.
We work in a hybrid way at Saga both at home and in the office. This role requires you to be working from our Folkestone offi
ce roughly once a week, allowing us to collaborate and share success as a business.
Role Responsibility
Our Application Developer will be responsible for the following areas:
- Troubleshooting and data fixes.
- Building and modifying software applications in line with business needs and requirements.
- Integrating software components and third-party applications.
- Working with UAT/QA teams, ensuring any deliveries are of high quality and meet or exceed standards.
- Working collaboratively with other Technology professionals to deliver technology programmes, projects and workstreams.
- Ensuring deliveries are secure, in line with best practice and aligned to policy.
- Creating and maintaining technical documents.
- Remaining up to date with development best practice.
- Assisting with troubleshooting systems and work collaboratively to resolve and prevent any defects, risk or issues.
The Ideal Candidate
As our newest Application Developer you'll work on flow and fixes of customer data across various systems and customer journeys.
We need our new Application Developer to demonstrate the following skills;
- Have already worked in a C# / .net Application Development role.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and time management skills.
- Has clear knowledge of coding languages and frameworks; C#, ASP .NET, T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
- Shows the desire to learn new coding languages and technologies.
- Has an eye for detail and identifying problems.
Desirable;
- Knowledge of JIRA.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
- Has worked to agile methodologies in a previous role.
- IIS and Windows Server.
