This is a part-time/ 15 Hour role.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of Clients.
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including detailed histories, mental state examinations, and risk assessments, to diagnose and manage a wide range of complex mental health disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Provide expert clinical leadership and supervision to multidisciplinary teams, including junior doctors, psychologists, nurses, and social workers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, utilizing pharmacological, psychological, and other therapeutic interventions, with careful monitoring of medication efficacy and side effects.
- Liaise with primary care providers, social services, legal agencies, and community organizations to ensure integrated and coordinated care pathways tailored to patient needs.
- Drive service development and quality improvement initiatives through participation in clinical audits, research projects, and staff training, promoting best practices and evidence-based care within the service.

The successful candidate will hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent in Psychiatry, and be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice in the UK. They must have substantial experience managing complex mental health conditions in NHS or equivalent settings, demonstrating clinical excellence and strong leadership within multidisciplinary teams. The candidate should have a sound knowledge of NHS standards, guidelines (e.g., NICE), and legislation relevant to mental health practice in the UK, including the Mental Health Act. Proven skills in psychopharmacology, risk assessment, and evidence-based treatment approaches are essential. Excellent communication, teamworking, and stakeholder engagement abilities are required, along with experience contributing to clinical audits, service development, and training.
