Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires a proactive approach to supporting clients with their daily activities and personal care needs while fostering a positive environment.

Duties

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients in daily living activities, including meal preparation and light housekeeping.
  • Implement and follow care plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.

Skills

  • Proficient in English, with strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
  • Experience in a care home or home care environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is beneficial.
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
