The Sliding Door Wardrobe Company is a leading fitted bedroom manufacture. We have been providing customers with beautiful bespoke bedrooms for over 30 years. We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused person to join our delivery team on a temporary basis until Christmas.
As a furniture delivery driver, you will be responsible for delivering furniture to customers' homes ready for our team of installers. This includes:
- Loading and unloading furniture, including heavy items such as large sliding doors and drawers.
- Ensuring all deliveries arrive on time whilst taking extra care in customers' homes.
- Providing exceptional customer service whilst carrying out deliveries.
- Adhering to all driving and safety regulations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
- Assisting with general cleanliness whilst in our Gateshead based factory.
- Assisting with unloading whilst at factory premises.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence (Preferable with less than 6 points).
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and handle heavy furniture.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Good time management and organisation skills.
- Familiarity with the North East area would be an advantage.
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: £13.19 per hour

- Gateshead NE11 0JT: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
