Claims Advisor

AutoProtect have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Claims Support Advisor for a 12 month fixed term to join their team here in Harlow, Essex.

Salary:

• £25,421.76 per annum

Hours:

• Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm
• 1 in 3 Saturdays 9am-1pm (included in salary)
• 38.8 hours per week
• Permanent - Full time

Job summary:

To resolve escalated tickets/phone calls in line with the needs of the business and provide administrative and analytical support within the Claims Team.

You will also be required to provide administrative support to the management team/field agents. The Job role will be varied and integral to AutoProtect back-office support.

What you'll do:

• Dealing with claim queries from customers, clients and repairers.
• Response for all external and internal clients, including telephone, emails etc.
• Assist with Upskilling/Liaising with the teams to provide a cohesive response for all enquiries including initial triages
• for all issues.
• To support the Claim Department with daily BAU functions
• Provide accurate claims advice across a variety of products
• Resolve claims across a variety of platforms, telephone, email and online
• Understanding our various customers' requirements and working with them to ensure they are properly dealt with
• Maintain company service levels
• Provide support to the Sales team by providing accurate and timely information
• Provide professional and friendly service
• Produce reports/spreadsheets on claims issues/queries on request
• Arrange vehicle assessments
• Other reasonable duties as required

What you'll bring:

Skills and competencies

• A high level of literacy and numeracy
• Initiative
• Good written and oral communication skills – the ability to discuss the workings of the modern motor vehicle
• Ability to work effectively under pressure both within a team or on own initiative
• Good planning and organizing skills with the ability to prioritise

What we're looking for:

Essential:

• Experience in a customer service role
• Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Good understanding of voice/soft skill
• Basic knowledge of PC skills

Preferred:

• Experience in a FCA regulated environment
• A background in insurance product administration and claims resolution
• Hands on mechanical background
• Knowledge within the motor industry
