Job Description
Overview

We are seeking a confident and skilled Radiology Consultant specialising in General Radiology to join the dynamic medical team at an NHS Trust in the Midlands. As a Radiology Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expertise in diagnostic radiology while ensuring the highest standard of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
  • Provide expert consultation to other healthcare professionals on patient imaging and diagnosis
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate and efficient patient care
  • Stay current with advancements in radiological technology and participate in continuous education and professional development
  • Oversee and mentor junior radiologists and trainees
Qualifications
  • Medical degree and valid state medical license
  • GMC Registration or within the application process
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in General Radiology
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Day-to-day
  • Review patient imaging cases and provide diagnostic reports
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss imaging findings and recommend further diagnostic or treatment plans
  • Lead or participate in clinical discussions and case conferences to enhance patient care
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and educational activities to stay up-to-date with current medical knowledge and industry trends
