The Assistant Manager will have the overall responsibility for directing the daily operations of a restaurant in the restaurant General Manager's absence, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including supervision and training of staff, product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, staff management, recruiting and retention of team members, financial accountability, and ensuring that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each customer.

  • Manage and develop staff by adopting a hands-on approach to all aspects of the operational responsibility, undertaking floor duties as a matter of routine.
  • Ensure all staff under line of responsibility deliver excellent service standards on a consistent basis.
  • Maximise upselling opportunities are relevant to the audience and customer type.
  • To ensure the venue is thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis and is maintained to a consistent hygienic manner.
  • To be fully aware of all reservations bookings in advance and inform staff of the same.
  • Undertake opening and closing duties within you main department of work as well as other departments as required.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in all areas of responsibility within set financial constraints.
  • In liaison with the general manager, implement effective stock management processes, minimising wastage and loss.
  • To work as part of a team, being aware of colleagues and their needs, and being flexible at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
