Level 2 & 3 Health & Social Care

T-Level in Health

Access to HE

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

  • Lead curriculum development, delivery, and quality assurance for Health & Social Care and Access to HE programmes.
  • Manage and support teaching teams, including appraisals and professional development.
  • Collaborate with NHS and external partners to enhance work placements and professional links.

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver engaging lessons and provide academic and pastoral support to learners.
  • Oversee assessment planning, internal verification, and preparation for external moderation.
  • Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student progress across all courses.

Quality & Development

  • Drive continuous improvement through effective self-assessment and action planning.
  • Lead on programme quality meetings and departmental reviews.
  • Develop new curriculum opportunities in line with sector trends and employer needs.

Recruitment & Promotion

  • Support student recruitment, enrolment, and induction processes.
  • Contribute to marketing, taster sessions, and open events to promote the provision.

About You

You'll be an enthusiastic and dedicated educator with strong leadership qualities and a deep understanding of Health & Social Care education.

Essential:

  • Degree or professional qualification in a relevant discipline (Level 4 or above).
  • Recognised teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience teaching Biology.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment, and quality assurance.

Desirable:

  • Advanced Science qualification(s).
  • Assessor or Verifier awards.
  • Experience of T-Level delivery.
  • Knowledge of current developments in FE and Health & Social Care sectors.
