Job Title: Higher Apprentice Design Engineer
Location: Portsmouth Naval Base (Hampshire)
Salary: Starting from £22,500 with annual progression through the scheme duration
What you'll be doing:
- You will be spending the first 6 months in Portsmouth Naval Base's Skills and Development Centre where you will develop your practical engineering skills
- You will develop knowledge, skills and behaviours within your engineering discipline whilst gaining valuable experience in design engineering
- Within the Design Team you will experience placements with the other engineering disciplines to provide a wider perspective and all-round engineering understanding
What Qualification will you get?
- Level 4 Apprenticeship Certificate (Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard)
- Higher National Certificate in Engineering

Export Control/Security:

Qualification requirements
5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject AND 1 of the following:
3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject
OR
An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points)
