Overview

As a Door Supervisor Security Officer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons and staff. Your presence will ensure that safety protocols are followed, and you will actively monitor the premises to prevent incidents before they occur. With your keen eye for detail and proactive approach, you will contribute to a positive atmosphere while safeguarding the interests of everyone involved.

What you'll do

  • Manage access control for employees, visitors, and contractors entering the premises.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of individuals and bags to deter theft and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Monitor CCTV systems to observe activities within the facility and respond promptly to any suspicious behavior.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary during incidents or emergencies.
  • Implement conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and access logs for reporting purposes.
  • Provide first aid and CPR assistance when required, ensuring the health and safety of all individuals on-site.
  • Engage with patrons in a friendly manner while enforcing rules and regulations to promote a safe environment.

Skills

  • Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of surveillance systems, including CCTV operations.
  • Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; military experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to minimize theft and ensure asset protection.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when needed.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse groups of people.
