This posting is for three unionized contractual appointments. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM).

Position Summary:
This requisition is for three positions, at 85 hours each, in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology. Effective dates of appointment are December 29, 2025 to May 1, 2026. Course dates are January 5 to April 14, 2026.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Marking

  • Preparing Class Materials

  • Leading Discussion Groups

  • Assisting Students' Learning

  • Will be required to attend class lectures

  • Tuesdays from 6:05PM to 8:55PM

Qualifications:

  • Background in the subject matter of the course (prior successful completion of the course or equivalent)

  • Familiarity with issues and topics related to exceptional children

  • Experience using MyCourses for course management

  • Background in Education for Teacher-Education program

  • Knowledge of French may be required
