We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Technical Sales Specialist to join our growing commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technical sales professional with a strong background in customer-facing roles, who enjoys translating complex technical requirements into practical, value-led solutions

As a key contributor to our sales function, you will take ownership of the full sales cycle — from identifying and developing opportunities through to technical solution design, proposal delivery, and deal closure. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and marketing teams to ensure customers receive robust, technically sound, and commercially viable solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our products, services, and technical solutions.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across target markets.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Engage with clients through meetings, site visits, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Capture and interpret customer requirements, proposing tailored technical solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical quotations, proposals, and tenders.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and technical teams to ensure solution accuracy and feasibility.
  • Support project handover and ongoing customer engagement post-sale where required.
  • Represent the business at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales pipeline and performance updates.

Requirements for the Role

Qualifications and experience

  • Proven experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or solutions-based commercial role.
  • Experience or knowledge of renewable energy, electrical systems, marine systems, or battery energy storage solutions (desirable, not essential)
  • Previous exposure to industrial, infrastructure, or energy-related markets (desirable, not essential)

Knowledge and technical skills

  • Strong technical background, with the ability to understand and explain complex systems clearly and confidently.
  • Demonstrated success managing the full sales cycle in a B2B environment.

Other requirements

  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Confident communicator across face-to-face meetings, presentations, video calls, and phone.
  • Commercially astute with a customer-focused mindset.
