Role & responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound exams independently, following guidelines and demonstrating proficiency.

  • Provide comprehensive scanning and reporting services, utilizing analytical skills to interpret images accurately.

  • Follow company's protocols and policies on-site to ensure compliance and high standards.

  • Collaborate with clinicians and seek Radiologist reviews when necessary, maintaining a commitment to professional development.

  • Ensure exceptional patient care in accordance with Elite Community Ultrasound.

  • Manage clinic sessions efficiently with Diagnostic Imaging Assistants for smooth patient experiences.

  • Assist in training trainee sonographer as agreed with the Clinical Regional Lead Sonographer.

  • Participate in audits and clinical governance activities under the guidance of the Clinical Regional Lead Sonographer.

  • Engage in lifelong learning and continue professional development to stay updated with advancements in medical ultrasound.

  • Maintain high personal and professional standards in ultrasound practice and patient care.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification (DMU, PgD, or MSc in Medical Ultrasound) and professional registration (e.g., HCPC).

  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable).

  • Comprehensive clinical knowledge and expertise in medical ultrasound acquired through postgraduate qualifications and practical experience.

  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make informed decisions based on knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • Proficiency in utilizing patient management databases and PACS systems.

  • Training in MSK as well as General Medicine and DVTs.

  • Requires HCPC/RCT/GMC/NMC registration.

  • Flexibility to adapt to varying service demands and contribute effectively to the team.

  • Commitment to upholding the highest professional and ethical standards.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2years private and NHS experience in General, Obs & Gynae and Small Parts is mandatory.

  • MSK, Vascular, 4D/5D (HD Live) baby scan are desirable however training can be provided.
