Role & responsibilities
Perform ultrasound exams independently, following guidelines and demonstrating proficiency.
Provide comprehensive scanning and reporting services, utilizing analytical skills to interpret images accurately.
Follow company's protocols and policies on-site to ensure compliance and high standards.
Collaborate with clinicians and seek Radiologist reviews when necessary, maintaining a commitment to professional development.
Ensure exceptional patient care in accordance with Elite Community Ultrasound.
Manage clinic sessions efficiently with Diagnostic Imaging Assistants for smooth patient experiences.
Assist in training trainee sonographer as agreed with the Clinical Regional Lead Sonographer.
Participate in audits and clinical governance activities under the guidance of the Clinical Regional Lead Sonographer.
Engage in lifelong learning and continue professional development to stay updated with advancements in medical ultrasound.
Maintain high personal and professional standards in ultrasound practice and patient care.
Requirements:
Relevant professional qualification (DMU, PgD, or MSc in Medical Ultrasound) and professional registration (e.g., HCPC).
Valid driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable).
Comprehensive clinical knowledge and expertise in medical ultrasound acquired through postgraduate qualifications and practical experience.
Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make informed decisions based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
Proficiency in utilizing patient management databases and PACS systems.
Training in MSK as well as General Medicine and DVTs.
Requires HCPC/RCT/GMC/NMC registration.

Exceptional communication skills to convey complex information empathetically to patients and referrers.
Excellent organizational skills to efficiently manage patient flow while ensuring high-quality care.
Ability to handle unpredictable patient situations with patience and professionalism.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when interpreting ultrasound images and generating reports.
Empathy and compassion in dealing with distressed patients.
Capability to work autonomously and independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility to adapt to varying service demands and contribute effectively to the team.
Commitment to upholding the highest professional and ethical standards.
Experience:
Minimum 2years private and NHS experience in General, Obs & Gynae and Small Parts is mandatory.
MSK, Vascular, 4D/5D (HD Live) baby scan are desirable however training can be provided.
