Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at a block of flats in Reading. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating tidy, welcoming environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.

The hours for this role are Tuesday 10.00am-1.00pm, Wednesday 10.00am-1.00pm & Thursday 10.00am-12.00pm Please note these hours are fixed - DO NOT apply if you cannot do these hours.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties in designated areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Use cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within scheduled timeframes
  • Interact courteously with clients and staff, providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Follow health and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment

Experience

  • Previous cleaning experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Basic understanding of cleaning products and equipment is desirable
  • Good communication skills in English are required to understand instructions and interact effectively with clients and team members
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness
