Stantonbury School is looking to appoint a cleaner. This role is 20 hours per week - 1.30pm-5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 1pm-5pm on a Friday, during term time.

The cleaning team are responsible for ensuring that the entire building is thoroughly cleaned each day, ensuring that the highest possible standards are achieved. Thus, creating a positive and enticing learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities

· To maintain cleanliness to a high standard in line with the prestige and ethos of the school

· In line with COVID and post COVID procedures we have adopted enhanced cleaning regimes which must be adhered too.

· To ensure that the area of responsibility is left in a clean and tidy fashion

· To ensure that consumables are replenished regularly, and the Site Manager made aware when stock orders are required

Job Description

  • Wipe/dust all surfaces daily
  • Clean all touch points on a regular basis throughout the day
  • Clean down all canteen areas after break and lunch, wiping tables and sweeping the floors, spot mopping where required.
  • Empty bins and check on cleanliness daily
  • Clean glass daily
  • Clean all workstations and desks
  • Damp wipe skirting boards and walls to remove debris
  • Vacuum and spot clean any soft furnishings
  • Clean mirrors
  • Hoover, buff or mop floors daily
  • Sinks and toilets to be cleaned daily
  • External litter pick when required, as directed by the Site Manager or the ALT
  • Dust locker tops, and wash the fronts daily
  • Check for graffiti and remove immediately
  • Check for and remove all chewing gum daily
  • Clean internal windows on doors and screens
  • Periodic cleaning of high ledges
  • Be aware of any areas where extra cleaning may be required and liaise with the Cleaning Supervisor for 'remedial' treatment
  • To keep the school clean, safe and free of hazards such as slips and trips

· Back of toilets, toilet seat, base of WC bowl, inside of WC bow.

  • Walls, floors, back and front of doors, Flush handles.
  • Inside and outside of bowl of urinals.

· Walls and floors around each urinal.

  • Wipe/polish all dispenser taps & mirrors.
  • Ensuring that work equipment including trolleys are clean and in good working order.
