Your Role

The Laboratory Technician prime function is to compound accurately seasoning, sauces and pastes for external and internal customers

• To provide a service to internal and external customers ensuring samples are sent on time and are fully traceable.
• Calibration of the weighing scales and Calibration of all Analytical Equipment
• Maintain a tidy, safe & clean working environment.
• To support NPD with ingredient collection
• Maintain and manage clear records of seasonings, flavourings, wet paste and sauce formulations
• Regular attendance of QC taste panels

About You

Experience and skills:

• At least five years experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in the food industry
• Experienced with compounding of powder blends and liquids
• Stock management and safe storage of flavours and raw materials
• Equipment maintenance
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Able to use own initiative and work independently
• Understanding of factory and food production processes

Qualifications:

• Science related further education qualification, like HND, HNC at a minimum
• Safe manual handling certificate
• Food Hygiene certificate
