About the role

Role Overview

As the Facilities Manager you'll oversee facilities service delivery in alignment with contractual agreements between EMCOR UK and the client.

You'll ensure statutory compliance across the customer account, maintain strong client relationships, and optimize operational and commercial performance. Drive site operations, focusing on user experience and brand reputation within common and engineering areas.

What you'll do:
  • Lead site teams with clear direction, promoting teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor performance data and KPIs, addressing non-conformance with corrective actions
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings and transparent communication
  • Champion health, safety, and quality standards, fostering a positive safety culture
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including shutdowns and critical plant access
  • Enhance customer experience across all service touchpoints
  • Manage inventory and ensure availability of critical spares
  • Audit staff and subcontractor performance to uphold quality and area standards
  • Lead emergency response and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Ensure compliance with permits, isolation procedures, and safe systems of work
  • Conduct staff appraisals and support ongoing training and development
  • Assist with contingency planning and strategic maintenance reviews
  • Oversee and approve project handovers within your area of responsibility
Who you'll be:
  • Proven track record in operations management within hard services FM.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (minimum); NEBOSH desirable (or willing to undertake).
  • Strong IT skills, including CAFM/EAM systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience managing teams and subcontractors.
  • Professional, client-facing approach, with strong commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Full UK driving licence.
