This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company where your engineering skills will directly support the NHS and other essential services. We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our growing Installation team.

Your Role:

As a Project Engineer, you will support the planning, execution, and delivery of medical and laboratory gas pipeline installation projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate engineering activities across installation projects
  • Prepare project documentation including technical reports, drawings, schedules, RAMS and programmes of works
  • Management of labour requirements on site
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve technical issues
  • Assist with procurement and cost control
  • Conduct site visits to oversee installations and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Maintain accurate records and update our Protean project system
  • Stay up to date with industry standards and support R&D initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience)

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with healthcare/NHS environments is an advantage
  • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and technical documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project); CAD skills beneficial
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
