Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting immigration cases through document preparation, case management, and client communication. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about immigration law to develop their skills within a professional environment. The role involves working closely with fee earners and clients to ensure efficient processing of immigration applications and petitions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing and organising immigration documentation, including visas, work permits, and residency applications on Leap legal case management system.
  • Conduct research on immigration laws and policies to support case strategies.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records using Lean and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and internal teams via email and phone calls.
  • Draft correspondence, affidavits, and legal documents in clear and professional English.
  • Monitor case progress and deadlines to ensure timely submission of applications.
  • Support fee earners in preparing for hearings or interviews by organising relevant documentation.
  • Utilise organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Turkish is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and organisational tools.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software or case management systems.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of immigration law is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude with attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £24,420.00 per year
