An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Emergency Care Practitioner ECP/ Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) / Paramedic, you'll be part of our valued team at our Trowbridge Minor Injury Unit.

Job Introduction
As an ECP, ENP, or Paramedic within HCRG Care Group, you'll join a dynamic multidisciplinary team of nurses, paramedics, and dedicated support staff.
Together, you'll provide high-quality care for patients with minor injuries and illnesses, making a real difference in the local community. You'll work closely with partner organisations—including the Royal United Hospital Bath (RUH), specialist units across the BSW region, and HCRG Care Group's internal services—to deliver seamless, compassionate, and collaborative care.
Main Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Working autonomously to assess, examine, document, prescribe, implement, and evaluate evidence-based care for patients attending the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU).
- Ensures safe and appropriate patient discharge from the MIU.
- Supports safe staffing and effective management of the MIU in the absence of the clinical lead.
- Band 7 nurse/paramedic: will have completed APiCA and Non-Medical Prescribing qualifications.
- Band 6 nurse/paramedic: demonstrates advanced triage and assessment skills, with strong knowledge of minor injuries and illnesses within their professional scope of practice.
- Works as part of a supportive, practitioner-led team across both primary and secondary care within BSW.
- Coordinates specialist interventions to meet urgent healthcare needs—supporting patients who may otherwise attend the Emergency Department or require timely discharge from emergency or primary care settings.
