We are looking for an experienced Practitioner in Maths who has a passion for teaching Mathematics and enabling the progression of our students. You will focus on teaching and learning and will work with the Subject Coordinator for Maths to deliver CPD, coach staff, assist in the development of appropriate and challenging schemes of work and support curriculum delivery of your subject. This is a new and exciting role for the Academy and we are looking for an individual who will make a significant contribution to our large and experienced team.

The successful candidate should have:

  • The ability to inspire and enthuse students
  • High expectations of students in terms of learning, achievement and behaviour
  • The ability to take the lead role in developing, implementing and evaluating policies and practises that lead to school improvement
  • The ability to lead structured monitoring and evaluation of all aspects of teaching and learning through lesson observations, feedback to teaching staff and work sampling.
  • Accredited Lead Practitioner status or the desire to work towards Accredited Lead Practitioner status

Our current team offer a range of extra-curricular support sessions to ensure students reach their full potential, and if successful, we would hope that you would share this ethic. Budmouth Academy has a highly successful 6th form and you will have the opportunity to teach post 16 at A Level Maths and Further Maths.
