Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Vertex CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will use Vertex BD software to create accurate 2D and 3D models for Light Gauge Steel Framing Systems (LGSFS) projects. You will play a key part in translating architectural designs into precise framing layouts and manufacturing data for prefabricated construction.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Vertex BD and general CAD tools is essential.
• Knowledge of light gauge steel framing principles and prefabrication processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Design.
• Experience in BIM workflows and manufacturing integration is an advantage.
• Capability in Training team members or clients to maximize the use of tools like Vertex BD
• Relevant educational background or certifications related to engineering or technical design

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed BIM models for walls, floors, roofs and trusses using Vertex BD.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce framing layouts.
• Generate shop drawings, material lists, and NC files for roll-forming machines.
• Apply framing rules and building codes to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and production teams to resolve design issues.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure version control.
• Support integration with other CAD/BIM platforms
