Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring that all materials are ready for the application process. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. The Paint Prepper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Operate hand tools and power tools effectively for surface preparation tasks.
- Assist in the mixing of paint and other materials as required.
- Conduct inspections of surfaces to identify imperfections or areas needing additional attention.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed when moving materials or equipment.
- Maintain an organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly after use.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in using hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, with a focus on safety and proper lifting techniques.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
