About the Role:
Based in Alfred Place, London. Working Pattern: Typically 3 days in the office in Central London, 2 days at home. Core hours flexible between 8am to 6pm.

As part of the marketing team, our purpose is to bring the narrative of each of our hand-painted prints to life in a way that captures the authenticity of our 30 year heritage.
We have an opportunity for an Assistant Graphics Designer to join the Cath Kidston team at Next Sitting within the Creative Brand team, reporting to the Creative Brand Marketing Lead, you'll become an integral part of translating the artistry of our hand-painted prints into creative assets that will support building our brand globally.
Your role
Creating social assets to grow our brand globally: We have 2.5 million Meta followers globally across our official and international local accounts, you'll be responsible for crafting content that captures the cadence of each campaign narrative, through graphic carousels, motion graphics, animation and video editing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social trends, content creation and be ready to bring a lot of new ideas.
Retail window designs & VM: We have more than 60 stores globally, each requiring a seasonal look and feel to bring our campaigns and collections to life. You'll be responsible for artworking hand-painted print elements into window schemes, as well as in-store POS, responding to ad-hoc briefs from our franchise partners to support their retail performance.
Supporting brand growth: We're a quickly growing brand, especially across licensing. You'll be the point of contact for requests for trade show materials, lightboxes, booth designs as well as pitch decks and brand books for new and existing partners, keeping them up to date as we grow.
Packaging design: You'll work closely with the print team to artwork swing tags and packaging for special collaborations and collections, as well as be guardian of the packaging design guidelines for our license partners.
About You:
Passion for the Brand: The ideal candidate should have a genuine enthusiasm for the brand and its values, which will shine through in their designs.
Creativity and Collaboration: A creative mindset paired with a collaborative approach will be essential for working effectively with the team and bringing innovative ideas to life.
Graphic Design Expertise: Experience in a similar style of graphic design is a must. The candidate should be comfortable working with print elements and creating / adapting print placements.
Taste and Trend Awareness: A strong sense of taste and a keen eye for detail are important, along with a passion for staying updated on the latest trends in the industry.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively conveying ideas and collaborating with team members and external partners. Being able to receive and give clear feedback is crucial to supporting brand cohesion.
Ability to Work Under Pressure: The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality work.
Pace and Agility: We're a small team making big things happen, we're looking for something who loves a challenge, can work quickly and adapt to changing circumstances.
