The Applications Analyst coordinates the department's asset management efforts. Works with various City staff to assist in the development and implementation of department and enterprise applications that depend upon tabular and spatial data. In coordination with Information Technology Services (ITS), will perform technical work creating and maintaining department enterprise applications and/or Geographic Information System (GIS). Work is performed with considerable latitude to exercise independent judgment and action supporting the development, maintenance and application of the department's technology solutions.

Pay range: $63, $78,967.00

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or Physical Sciences required*
  • Three years of experience with the implementation, management, development, production, and use of data applications*
  • Documented experience in the utilization of ArcGIS technology including ArcMap or documented experience in the support of software products such as: CMMS, EAM, ERP, ECMS, CRM, Permitting, and/or Inspections required.
  • Experience with relational database and design, SQL Server, data conversion, and report writing is required.
  • Experience constructing procedures and processes using configurable tools are highly desirable.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Internet technologies and web site operations and design, including web servers and html.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, management and external entities on the status of project activity.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with subordinates, peers, supervisors, contractors, and the general public
