Design Technician

Warrington, Warrington, United Kingdom Cheshire Architectural Aluminium Full time £30,000 - £45,000 per year

Support the design team by producing accurate drawings and technical details for aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling and façade systems. Work closely with senior designers, fabrication and site teams to ensure projects are delivered smoothly and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce 2D CAD drawings for tender, construction and fabrication
  • Prepare schedules, material take-offs and technical documentation
  • Develop setting-out drawings, sections and details
  • Work with Senior Designers to resolve technical queries
  • Coordinate with procurement, fabrication and installation teams
  • Ensure designs comply with project specifications and building regulations
  • Maintain drawing files, revisions and document control

Requirements

  • Experience with aluminium façade/window systems preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit/BIM a bonus)
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow design standards
  • Understanding of building construction and technical drawings
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Eager to learn, develop and support wider design function
