Job Title: Chef – Nursery Setting
Location: Farnborough, GU14
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 5 days a week, 5-hour shifts
About Us:
We are a warm and welcoming nursery in Farnborough, dedicated to providing high-quality care and nutritious meals for children. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team and prepare healthy, delicious meals for our little ones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for children, ensuring compliance with dietary requirements and allergies.
- Plan menus in line with nursery nutrition standards and guidelines.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients.
- Work collaboratively with nursery staff to meet the needs of the children.
- Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean and organized.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Chef, preferably in a childcare or nursery setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (Level 2 Food Safety Certification preferred).
- Ability to plan and prepare balanced meals for children.
- Reliable, organized, and a team player.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and dietary requirements.
