CAD Design Technician- Responsibilities include:

• Receiving instructions from Project Managers and engaging in project discussions, utilizing problem-solving abilities.
• Generating 2D drafts and technical construction drawings for approval, construction, and installation
• Conducting 3D modelling and rendering to facilitate client approval and workshop construction.
• Breaking down current models into 2D elements and programming CNC machines accordingly.
• Leveraging your expertise in carpentry construction techniques and joinery to maximize efficiency.
• Conducting research on new CAD/CAM technologies as needed.

CAD Design Technician- Desirables include:

• Proficient in CAD design
• Possess strong computer skills and extensive expertise in design software.
• Utilize computer-generated plans to collaborate with team members and departments, establish timelines, budgets, and make informed decisions regarding material selection for project completion.
• Skilled in both 2D and 3D modeling, as well as programming CNC machines.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD functionality and shortcuts, ensuring efficient and visually appealing plans.
• In-depth understanding of construction techniques and processes, particularly within the theatre/events industry.
• Exhibits strong organizational abilities, effectively managing multiple priorities.
• Demonstrates a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Schedule- Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm, with a rota for approx 1 in 4 Saturdays.
