Job Overview
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated psychology graduate to join the newly established Mid Essex ARMS (At Risk Mental State) service.
ARMS services are primary care community mental health services within EPUT who work specifically with young people and adults aged 14-35 who are considered to be at risk of experiencing psychosis. The Mid Essex ARMS service is a friendly multidisciplinary team working in the community of Mid Essex (including Chelmsford, Braintree, Maldon and Halstead). The team offers initial assessments and person-centred psychosocial interventions, which are aimed at reducing distress, improving social and occupational functioning, and preventing the development of more severe mental health difficulties in future.
The post-holder should have a passion for developing their clinical and research skills, and be keen to work flexibly and in a variety of settings. Your work will be closely supervised by an experienced clinical psychologist and you will therefore also gain experience of the supervisory process. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate aiming to undertake doctoral postgraduate training in clinical or counselling psychology in the future.
