Permanent, Part time, Term-time, 31.25 hours per week

You will be responsible for all activities in this very busy kitchen connected with the provision of a catering service. You will prepare, cook and serve meals in accordance with the School Food Standards. Relevant experience of large-scale catering is essential. You must demonstrate good hygiene practices and have a high level of personal hygiene.

Other duties include, portion control, special diets, the supervision of employees, work rosters, cash handling, IT work, on the job training, health and hygiene, health and safety practices and other administrative duties.

Requirements to fulfil the duties include relevant experience in a catering environment, including supervising staff, you must possess a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year.
