Risk Support Analyst, Model Exchange

Verisk is a leader in the catastrophe modelling space and is looking for a highly passionate, motivated individual to join the Consulting and Client Services Group supporting the Model Exchange platform. Model Exchange is an open ecosystem catastrophe modeling software that gives insurers and (re)insurers unique risk insights to address the global insurance protection gap
This role serves as primary Client Services business support to our Model Exchange client base and model vendors by assisting client and model vendors communications and providing business and application support. Focus on customer issues, challenges and opportunities and deliver the highest quality to our clients.
You will also work closely across the business development, software development and product teams.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do:
- Provide first line support to customers, troubleshooting, logging and assigning issues in Salesforce, monitoring support cases and escalating as required
- Maintaining accurate documentation of support requests and solutions in Salesforce
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, both within the team, amongst colleagues and with external contacts
- Act as the client environment and business subject matter expert for Model Exchange to troubleshoot daily issues
- Create new or modify existing processes to streamline testing and troubleshooting
- Communicate necessary maintenance work, including software releases, in a coordinated manner to minimise disruption to users
- Produce monthly reports of support cases and their status for review by management and customers
- Understand model vendors' catastrophe models and outputs
- Provide training sessions to clients to help them understand and use the Model Exchange platform
- Develop Oasis Loss Modelling Framework and ODS (Open Data Standard) expertise
- Develop catastrophe modelling expertise
What you'll bring:
- Training will be provided but client support experience and some technical knowledge would be helpful
- Interest in client support and technical project management
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Existing knowledge of reinsurance and catastrophe modelling beneficial
- Experience with SQL Databases, Python or R preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills internally and externally with clients
- Ability to work with and communicate to clients in the insurance and reinsurance space, keeping stakeholders updated and ensuring scopes are adhered to
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple project workload across a demanding stakeholder group(s)
Education:
- A degree in a related field is required, preferably in Catastrophe Modelling, Geography, Science, Statistics or Mathematics.
