You'll be part of the Codemasters studio, working alongside experienced developers, designers, and artists to help deliver next-generation player experiences. This is a chance to get hands-on with cutting-edge tools, learn from top industry talent, and contribute directly to one of the most celebrated racing game series in the world.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with UI and gameplay teams to design and implement in-game interfaces and player experiences
  • Write clean, maintainable C++ code for UI features and components
  • Use debugging and profiling tools to test, tune, and optimise performance
  • Work with designers, artists, and producers to turn creative ideas into functional features
  • Contribute to an agile development environment that values learning, collaboration, and experimentation

Core skills & experience

  • Currently studying towards a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree
  • Available for a 12-month full-time placement starting July 2026
  • Comfortable reading and writing C++ code
  • Familiarity with 3D maths, geometry, and UI or gameplay programming concepts
  • Enthusiastic learner with strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
