Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laser setter / Operator to join our team and operate our Amada F1 CO2 laser. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating the laser cutting machine to cut out components to a high standard. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various materials and thicknesses. The Laser setter / Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate laser cutting machines to produce precise components according to specifications
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laser equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with the fabrication team to prepare materials for cutting and assembly
  • Utilise hand tools and tooling effectively to support production tasks
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Assist in the assembly of components as needed, ensuring quality control throughout the process

Skills

  • Experience in sheet metal work
  • Competent in using hand tools and tooling for various applications
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
