Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder/general engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with hands-on experience in various techniques and tools. This role is essential for the production of high-quality metal components, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Mig welding and other welding techniques to fabricate metal components.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
  • Conduct fabrication tasks involving steel sections and plates, ensuring precision and accuracy in measurements.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to execute projects effectively.
  • Work on own initiative at times
  • Have general engineering knowledge.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Carry out regular maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Deliveries/collections from some customers/suppliers and to support our on site engineers.

Experience

  • Experience in welding, particularly with MIG welding techniques. (training will be provided to improve
  • Familiarity with local welding standards and practices is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, saws, pillar drills and fabrication equipment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
