Kettering NN BT, United Kingdom Kettonby Care Limited Full time £24,000 - £48,000 per year

Support Workers (Days or Nights) – Full or Part Time

Location: Kettering

Service Type: Residential Care & Supported Living for Adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and co-existing conditions

We're a small, local care provider and we're looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team. Our service includes a four-bed residential home and five supported living flats, all based on the same site providing 24-hour care, 365 days per year. You'll be supporting adults to live as independently and happily as possible—whether that's in our residential homes or in supported living settings.

As a Support Worker, you'll play a key role in helping adults with learning disabilities and autism live full, happy, and independent lives. Your day-to-day duties may include:

  • Providing personal care with dignity and respect, when required
  • Supporting with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
  • Encouraging and promoting independence, helping people to learn and develop everyday skills
  • Supporting individuals to take part in meaningful activities, hobbies, and community outings
  • Accompanying people to appointments, social events, or family visits
  • Providing positive behavioural support, following individual behaviour support plans and using proactive, person-centred strategies
  • Building trusting relationships and offering emotional reassurance during times of anxiety or distress
  • Supporting with communication, using tailored approaches to understand and respond to each person's needs
  • Assisting with medication administration and keeping accurate records, in line with policies and training
  • Recording daily notes, progress, and incidents clearly and professionally
  • Working closely with colleagues, families, and professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality support

Shift Patterns

We offer both day and waking night positions:

Day Shifts:

  • 07:00 – 14:30
  • 14:15 – 21:45

Waking Night Shifts:

  • 21:30 – 07:15

You'll work every other weekend, and we have full-time and part-time roles available.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people who share our passion for providing high-quality, holistic care and support to adults with learning disabilities and autism.

You don't need lots of experience — what matters most is your attitude, compassion, and commitment to making a difference every day.

We'd love to hear from you if you are:

  • Caring, compassionate, and reliable, with a genuine desire to support others
  • Proactive and motivated, with a positive approach to problem-solving and teamwork
  • A great communicator, able to listen, understand, and respond to people's individual needs
  • Committed to person-centred care, treating every individual with dignity and respect
  • Eager to learn and develop, open to training and feedback to continually improve your skills
  • Someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality support that helps people live well and independently

Previous experience in care is helpful, but not essential — full training and ongoing support will be provided.

What we can offer

We're a small, supportive care provider that truly values our team. When you join us, you'll be part of a friendly environment where everyone is encouraged to grow, learn, and make a real difference.

Here's what you can look forward to:

  • Full training and induction – we'll give you all the skills and confidence you need to succeed in your role
  • Opportunities to gain recognised qualifications in Health and Social Care
  • Ongoing learning and development to help you build a rewarding career in the care sector
  • Supportive management and a close-knit team who are always there to help
  • The chance to make a real difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities and autism every single day
