We are seeking an experienced Team Lead for our modelling team. In this role, you'll manage a diverse team of scientists, modellers and engineers responsible for developing models and the simulation platform that sit at the heart of our digital twins. We're looking for someone equally motivated to drive team members' professional development, and take responsibility for the team's deliverables, ensuring we consistently hit milestones and take modelling to the next level. You'll lead and shape the future of our modelling team, working closely with our other engineering teams as well as product and business development to align the team with business objectives. Additionally, you'll have opportunities to engage with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and academic institutions, to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Your Opportunity :
Grow a team of successful, motivated engineers through proactively supporting career development, coaching and empowerment. Play a key role in performance and promotion reviews
Understand the business and product goals, functional and non-functional requirements requirements, architecture, modelling approaches and technologies that drive the team's work
Plan, track and report work, ensuring your team is delivering effectively against business goals
Use your modelling, simulation and software engineering experience to support the team in breaking-down complex problems into pragmatic straightforward solutions
Own and refine the modelling, engineering and agile practices of your team
Forge and maintain relationships with partners and academic institutions to transfer knowledge and remain at the forefront of modelling and simulation
Why you're made for this :
Proven commercial experience, ideally in a startup environment
Proven hands-on experience in modelling, simulation, digital twin technology or AI/ML
Experience leading a customer-focused technical team, with a strong track record of delivering solutions that delight the customer or end user
Ability to pragmatically balance delivery and quality, changing your focus based on project requirements
Ideally, you will have a strong network with relevant academic institutions.
Great communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical team members and internal stakeholders. Ability to develop successful working relationships and manage stakeholders effectively
As an experienced people manager, you will have a clear focus on managing the development and growth of the team
A strong understanding of engineering best practices including agile methodologies
