North East Lincolnshire SENDIASS is a very small team comprising of a team manager, Co-ordinator and administrator who mainly work from home and other settings when conducting meetings. We are looking to recruit a part time co-ordinator to offer information, advice and support to families regarding all aspects of SEND. The post will be for 21 hours per week.
What will your day look like?
You will be required to undertake IPSEA legal training to levels 1,2 and 3 to provide impartial and confidential advice and support in relation to statutory processes and ensure that information and communication links are maintained between professionals and families.
You will be working with families of children with SEND and young people with SEND and professionals. You will need to build on positive working relationships with a variety of different agencies whilst referring back to legislation and legal frameworks. Co-ordination of meetings within educational settings to seek resolve to concerns raised by families and maintain accurate records on an electronic confidential database.
Support families who are wanting to enter the formal SEND mediation route and assist with SEND tribunal cases where necessary. Support with co-production working and gathering of data and to operate to National standards as well as to local council policies, procedures and frameworks including safeguarding, health and safety and data protection.
