Personal Assistant –

Various hours weekly (1 – 2 persons required dependent upon hours)

Salary: £13 per hour

Are you looking for a new challenge that involves 1-1 care, learning the specific care skills to help our adult client, within their family home?

An opportunity has arisen to support a young lady with complex needs. The Personal Assistant will be there to provide supported care to her within her own home, i.e. bathing, feeding, toileting, dressing and assisting with mobility to ensure that she receives the highest standards of care appropriate. Support with recreational and study tasks are also important in this role.

Job Description:

· Our client has multiple medical conditions, she is bright, articulate, and needs special people to help her live a fulfilled life despite being largely housebound.

· You must be trustworthy, reliable and flexible, and work with a variable shift rota as needs dictate.

· You must have the ability to stay calm under pressure and have excellent problem-solving skills.

· You must be physically fit.

· You must have a love of dogs, and are used to having dogs, and are prepared to be part of our client's dogs' (best friends') routines.

· Please note: non-smoker preferred due to sensitivity issues.

· Mandatory training is required most client-centred training is done with the client herself.

· Carers will be expected to work extra hours when required to cover the other carer's holidays. The rota is set one month in advance.

· The position is open to carers who feel they are ready for a role with extra responsibility and training within this small but dedicated team.

Requirements:

· Full UK Drivers Licence required and access to vehicle for work purposes

· You must have a clean driving licence to be able to drive the client's manual car.

· DBS will be required
