Wireman

Discipline: HV Electrician/Wireman 

Location: Sheffield/Manchester 

Rate: PAYE £22.18 p/hr + £2.67 p/hr holiday pay 

Duration: 6 months

Hours: 50 hours per week/ OT available once proven 

The Role

Our client is one of the largest organisations operating within the mechanical and electrical sectors nationwide. As a result of numerous large contracts, they are now searching for 3 additional Electricians with experience of wiring, working out of a sub power station based in Sheffield and Manchester the candidate will need the following:

• A recognised craft/Technical apprenticeship
• ONC/ BTEC in electrical engineering
• Knowledge and working experience of wiring regulations
• Extensive experience of working on high voltage plant, switchgear, transformers and associated auxiliary equipment.
• Excellent knowledge of working practices, techniques, procedures and tool usage
• Training in health, safety and environmental issues
• The ability to read and work from drawings.

Desirable accreditations: 

• National Grid competent Person
• BESC
• MEWO
• Telehandler
• Scaffolding
• Welding/ Brazing
• Working at height
• First Aid
